The Challenge
Emplify is a B2B SaaS platform that helps executives and managers improve employee engagement by providing actionable insights.
Emplify’s unique value lies in its human coaching, but as the company scales upmarket, relying on human coaches for every customer is no longer feasible. The product must evolve to deliver actionable insights without diminishing its value.
Problem Space
The existing “Action Playbook,” a PDF and worksheet used by coaches, resonates with users but is cumbersome and manual.
Executives must distribute playbooks to managers, with no easy way to track or act on the insights provided.
The product excels at measuring engagement and facilitating inquiry but lacks tools for implementing solutions.
Personas
Executives: Need visibility into organizational progress and tools to track outcomes.
Managers: Require actionable insights tailored to their team’s data to implement improvements.

Solution
We designed and built an integrated Action Dashboard in two phases:
Data-driven Actions
Managers can now select from a range of recommended actions based on insights gained from their data. Updated features include:
Simplified workflow: Managers are guided through a process that uses the “Influence” and “Struggles” algorithms to identify key areas for improvement.
Actionable suggestions: Managers receive specific, pre-generated actions tailored to their focus areas.
Oversight and Progress Tracking
Using the new Action Dashboard managers can track the impact of their actions to help plan future improvements.
Managers can track their progress on assigned actions.
Executives have visibility into all actions across the organization, allowing them to monitor implementation and identify areas needing additional support.
